All parts come in a variety of materials, shapes, and sizes and each specification is intended for a specific purpose. So, if you are a beginner, you should go with cheap equipment, which will be only for learning. Also, you ask someone at a skate shop for a recommendation and which skateboard you should buy.

Standing on a skateboard

Before you head outside, you should practice some basic moves, and the perfect place for that is carpet. Get on the board while you are on the rug, in this case, you will avoid falling, but also you will practice balance. You can try this outside on the grass. You need to feel your skate and feel comfortable while skating. Otherwise, you can fall and hurt yourself. The next step would be to go outside and try standing on the pavement.

The basic moves

Once you go outside, again you need to feel the surface, before you start your first ride. This practice can last a couple of days. You need to get on board, start, ride and learn how to stop. One of the most common moves is pushing, but you need to do it at a steady pace. In this case, you need to learn how to push repeatedly in order to achieve higher speed. In the previous section we explained the single push, but now it’s time to start practicing more advanced moves. This step can be dangerous if you aren’t prepared enough. So, you need to practice as much as you can, before you proceed with more advanced moves.

Think about safety gear

Safety gear is equally important as your skateboard, without it, don’t even try to skate. First of all, you need to think about your safety, and you can purchase this equipment at many skate stores. Also, you can buy used designer clothes, if you don’t want to spend money on new one. A lot of shops retail this type of clothes and safety gear. For beginners, this is a must because in some situations it can save your life. With the help of safety gear, it will take only a couple of days to master skateboarding skills.
